Milestones – Worklist

Who:

Customer Operations

Why:

View the status of all Milestones in a table view

Before you begin

The System Administrator must create the generic Milestone Types and Milestone Groups. Then instances of these can be added to Orders and Matter by Customer Operations.

Procedure

1. On the LPG menu, select Worklist > Milestones.

The Milestone Worklist screen appears with the all Milestones listed in table format. The individual Order Milestones (N1) are grouped within Order Milestone Group (N2), within Order (N3), within Matter (N4).

N5 - Matter Milestones are listed at the top. They have no Order ID.

Chained Milestones appear below the Anchor Milestone on which they are dependent. See topic Milestones - Basics for more information on chaining of Milestones and on the meaning of the Status.

a. Sorting the Worklist: The list of Milestones can be sorted using the arrow buttons in the header of the table. In the example shown below, the first click of the arrow will sort the Anchor Milestones by Baseline Date descending (most recent first). Clicking the arrow a second time will sort the list by Baseline Date ascending (oldest first).

Meaning of the Columns in the Milestone Worklist

The dates are based on offsets from Milestone dependencies.

  • Baseline Date: The initial, system-generated Forecast Date.
  • Forecast Date: The Forecast date is an offset from a key date (for example Order Service Period Start Date).
  • Forecast Entity End Date: The end date of the Order or Matter with which this Milestone is associated.
  • Hour Difference:
    Red negative number = Number of hours the Milestone is overdue;
    Green number = Number of hours until the Milestone is due;
    Blue number = Because the Milestone Target Date is pending, the hours cannot be calculated.

2. To filter the list of Milestones, do the following:

a. Select from the drop down list which Milestones to display:
Matter – Display only Milestones associated with Matters (doesn’t include Milestones associated with the Orders within the Matter).
Order - Milestones associated with Orders.
Matter and Order – all Milestones.

b. Tick Include On Target Milestones if required. (When it is unchecked, it shows all Orders or Matters which have at least one overdue or at risk So depending on chaining of Milestones, it is possible for On Target Milestones to be shown even when this box is not ticked.)

c. Click the Search button.
The Milestone list is filtered to show only Milestones matching the search criteria.

3. To manage the Milestones associated with an Order, click the Order number.

The View Order screen appears with the Timeline tab selected.
